It might have happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, but the universe is closer than ever.  In just over a month, Star Wars fans will pack themselves into theater seats for the release of The Rise of Skywalker. The question on everyone’s mind, especially the superfans of the franchise, is how to prepare. The first logical thing that comes to mind is a marathon. This will take approximately 25 hours, excluding the TV show episodes of The Clone Wars, Rebels, and Resistance. It does, however include the hour-long pilots of the respective shows.

The Mandalorian, releasing soon, is a series on Disney Plus that takes place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Another great way to celebrate The Rise of Skywalker is buying merchandise, such as action figures, Lego sets, and the legendary Lightsaber. The toys can reveal more about the film, some might be collectable, and a lightsaber is a way to put fans into the headspace their favorite Jedi or Sith. While on the subject of merchandise, another way to feel immersed into the Star Wars galaxy is video games. A popular favorite is the Star Wars: Battlefront series. In this series, the point is to transport players virtually into the battle. This game can be played with friends to see if they are better as the hero’s or the villains of the Star Wars universe.

While Battlefront is geared toward older audiences, a more child-friendly Star Wars experience can be found in the Lego Star Wars games. These games focus on the story of the Skywalker Saga, with laughable moments that tackle the dark ones. The final thing that can boost fans’ energy before The Rise of Skywalker is a trip to Disney World or Disneyland for the Galaxy’s Edge attractions. In this new, immersive land guests will be able to travel to the planet of Batuu and explore The Black Spire Outpost.

While exploring Galaxy’s Edge, fans can drink Blue Milk, eat exotic food and buy exclusive merchandise, including a lightsaber. In December, guests can be recruited by the Resistance to aid them in the fight against The First Order. Guests can also pilot the best hunk of junk in the galaxy, The Millennium Falcon, in Smugglers Run. There are many more things that even casual fans can do, but these are the things that most important to superfans of the franchise as it draws to its conclusion in December.
