PTK announces charity partnership with Ten Thousand Villages

Dean Robbins, Allegheny Campus Staff

At the Jan. 16 PTK meeting, Officer of Service Jiyong Ahn announced Alpha Mu Theta’s exciting next service project. Alpha Mu Theta will be partnering with Ten Thousand Villages to bring their shop on campus on Feb. 11-13! Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit organization that sources and sells fair-trade and eco-friendly artisan gifts from around the world. Ten Thousand Villages will run a mini-shop in the Milton Rotunda, which will be staffed by PTK officers. The proceeds go to Ten Thousand Villages, with a small piece going to PTK for future projects. Buy gifts for your significant other or friend for this Valentine’s Day! The shop will run from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM from Feb. 11-13 in the Milton Rotunda. If you are interested in being involved in the work PTK is doing, come to our meetings on Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in the Foerster Meeting Room on the first floor of the SSC Building.
